Not everyone has the time required to raise a puppy, but would like to enjoy the companionship of a dog. Puppy rearing involves a great deal of teaching and 'house-training' that is not possible with everyone's lifestyle. Sometimes a 'house-trained' pup or young adult is a welcome addition to a busy or limited household.
When we are planning a litter here at Ginander, we do so with the intent of holding back a puppy for ourselves to show, train and be our companions….. and also with the thought of that pup potentially becoming part of our breeding program. If we have a couple of litters in a year, then at some point between the ages of
6- 12 months of age, we must decide which pup will remain with us and which pup will be made available to a loving home. Pups of this age have been socialized, crate-trained and sleep through the night without requiring to go to the bathroom.
Occasionally, we have an adult who has given to our breeding program, is fully certified, and is made available to become a family companion.
Because we receive many inquiries, we find it very helpful if you could tell us a little about your family and lifestyle. This helps us in placing an appropriate puppy or young adult into your home.
If you would like further information or to make an appointment to meet our Labrador family, just give a telephone call or email us and we would be happy to assist you.
